Eastern Kentucky Wins Record $78.8 Million in Appalachian Regional Awards
Governor Andy Beshear announced on October 7 that 67 Eastern Kentucky projects will receive a record $78.8 million from the Appalachian Regional Commission for fiscal 2026, plus nearly $93.8 million in local matching funds. Six broadband projects totaling $25.7 million are expected to bring high-speed internet to more than 3,000 homes across 12 counties.
