Maryland Invests Nearly $60 Million in Victim Service Providers

Saturday, October 10, 2026 · States · GSM News

Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced on October 9 nearly $60 million in Fiscal Year 2027 funding to support victim services organizations and programming across the state, administered by the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy.

The funding supports survivors of sexual assault, violent crime and domestic violence with services such as shelter, counseling and help navigating the justice system. The administration framed the investment as part of its broader public-safety approach as violent crime continues to drop statewide. (Source: Office of Governor Wes Moore, Maryland)
