Minnesota Updates Broadband Expansion, Line Extension Registration Stays Open

Minnesota's Office of Broadband Development, part of the Department of Employment and Economic Development, issued an October 7 update on the federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment program and the state's Line Extension Connection Program. Registration for future line-extension rounds remains open to residents and businesses still lacking reliable high-speed service, with state staff available to help by phone and email.
The update also noted a federal extension of tribal broadband application deadlines to November 17, 2026. State officials said work continues with local partners to bring dependable broadband to communities that have waited years for service.
