New York Adds $10 Million to Buffalo East Side Building Fund
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced on October 8 an additional $10 million for Buffalo's East Side Building Fund to drive commercial corridor revitalization, historic building stabilization and infill development. Since its launch in May 2025, the fund has processed 300 applications, advanced 50 finalists and awarded $10 million to 35 commercial and mixed-use projects. A new funding round is expected to open in the coming months, with preference for projects in or near priority districts including Jefferson, Fillmore, Michigan, Genesee and Bailey avenues.
