Culver City Hotel Tax Measure Would Rise to 16% in Two Steps to Fund Emergency Services and Housing

Culver City is a city in Los Angeles County, California. Measure T on Culver City's ballot would raise the hotel tax from 14% to 16% in two steps, to 15% in March 2027 and 16% in March 2028. The measure is projected to generate up to about $2 million a year for emergency services, mental health and affordable housing. City officials say having visitors and short-term lodging guests share the cost of public services avoids raising taxes directly on local residents; voters will decide the measure at the election.
