Texas Senate Candidate's Two-Week Absence Fuels Online Speculation
Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico has not held an in-person campaign event since September 26, fueling social-media speculation and a demand from Republican opponent Ken Paxton's camp for a doctor's note. His campaign said on October 9 that he has been recovering from the flu and expects to return to the trail this weekend, while pressing Paxton to accept a debate.
