Apple Sets October 13 'Welcome Home' Launch in New York, With First Smart Home Hub Expected

Apple announced on Oct. 8 that it will hold a product launch on Tuesday, Oct. 13, under the tagline "Welcome home." Marketing chief Greg Joswiak teased the event with a video of the rainbow Apple logo being stitched into fabric.
According to MacRumors and Bloomberg reporting, three home products are expected. The headliner is Apple's first smart home hub: a device with a roughly six-inch square display, offered in countertop and wall-mounted versions, with a camera and presence sensor; rumored pricing is around $350. Also expected are a refreshed HomePod mini — its first hardware update since 2020 — and a new Apple TV 4K.
