Arkansas Governor Launches MyArkansas App, Putting 50+ State Services in Residents' Pockets

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders on October 8 launched MyArkansas, a new mobile application that puts more than 50 state government services into one place, the governor's office announced. The app is available now in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Sanders was joined by Department of Finance and Administration Secretary Jim Hudson for the announcement at the state Revenue Office in Springdale — which Sanders had proclaimed Arkansas' "Capital for a Day" on October 8, bringing senior state officials to the northwest Arkansas city for the day.

Developed in collaboration with Login.gov, MyArkansas connects users directly with official state services. The first release includes booking lodging at Arkansas State Parks, purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, renewing vehicle registration, checking real-time wait times at revenue offices, requesting vital records, and applying for an Education Freedom Account. Additional services are planned for future releases.

"Arkansans have jobs to get to and families to take care of, and accessing state services should be a simple part of their day," Sanders said. "MyArkansas puts more than 50 state services in the palm of your hand, creating a more streamlined experience, whether it's renewing tags or booking a stay at one of our beautiful state parks. This is another step toward building a state government that respects people's time and works around their lives."

Hudson said the app is part of the administration's push for better customer service across state government. "Governor Sanders expects us to deliver first-class customer service, every time," Hudson said. "Through this new mobile app, Arkansans do not have to search multiple websites to find the appropriate department that offers a needed service. They can simply visit the app and find it immediately. I encourage all Arkansans to go to the app store for their mobile phone and download it today."

The launch fits into a broader national trend of states consolidating digital services into single portals to cut down on paperwork and in-person visits. For rural Arkansans who may live far from the nearest revenue office, being able to renew a vehicle registration or check wait times from a phone could save a long drive. The Education Freedom Account application feature also ties the app to one of Sanders' signature education policies.

State officials said more services will be added in future releases, and encouraged residents to download the app and send feedback on what to add next.
