Global Sources Hong Kong Shows Phase I Opens at AsiaWorld-Expo: Over 4,000 Booths and 2,100-Plus Asian Suppliers

HONG KONG — Phase I of the October 2026 Global Sources Hong Kong Shows opened on October 11 at AsiaWorld-Expo, running until October 14. Under the theme "Connecting Global Innovation, Enabling Sustainable Sourcing", the Consumer Electronics Show and the Gaming Show run concurrently, with a combined total of over 4,000 booths bringing together more than 2,100 quality Asian suppliers across categories including PC peripherals, gaming peripherals, audio-visual equipment, automotive electronics, personal transporters, photography accessories, and batteries and power products.
The organiser said Hong Kong's first Five-Year Plan calls for consolidating the city's status as an international trade centre, and that the shows serve as a platform where Mainland brands meet global professional buyers face to face — a "Made in the Mainland + Served via Hong Kong" pathway for going global. John Kao, Vice President of Hong Kong Shows & Overseas Shows at Global Sources, said that amid global supply-chain realignment, what determines whether an industry can sustain its place in international markets is not production capacity alone but also compliance capability and trust, and that the shows let Mainland manufacturers align products, compliance and delivery capability with international standards via Hong Kong.
Gaming is a major thread of this edition, with more than 1,600 PC-accessory booths and nearly 500 gaming-peripheral booths. The organiser notes the Greater Bay Area accounts for more than half of the world's keyboard and mouse OEM output and over 70% of global game-controller shipments, and exhibitors are targeting procurement demand from the Asian Games esports boom and the "desk setup economy" created by hybrid work. Greater Bay Area brands including Loctek, CE-LINK, Havit, AULA and Huntkey are showing high-refresh-rate monitors, mechanical keyboards, gaming headsets and ergonomic chairs.
Compliance is the other focus. The EU Battery Regulation will require certain battery products to carry a Digital Product Passport from February 18, 2027, disclosing roughly 90 data points including carbon footprint, recycled content and supply-chain traceability. Exhibitors in the power and charging zone have prepared solutions for the new rules, allowing buyers to assess suppliers' readiness on site and shorten the cycle from product selection to compliant ordering.
Alongside the exhibition, the Best of Innovation Awards recognise 20 Phase I exhibitors, with showcase and future-tech zones and a VR immersive experience area on the floor. The Global Sources Summit brings in experts from organisations including VTC, Hong Kong Science Park, Tencent and SGS to discuss how SI is reshaping gaming, hardware design and supply-chain planning. Global Sources says its platform, operating for 55 years, has served more than 14 million registered buyers and users worldwide.
