Flamingo Las Vegas Taps Contractor for 80th-Birthday Overhaul, Redesigned Lobby With Bronze Flamingo Statues

Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. One of the oldest casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip is getting a facelift for its 80th birthday. Caesars Entertainment has chosen Boston-based Suffolk Construction to lead the renovation of the Flamingo Las Vegas, timed to the property's 80th anniversary next year.
The centerpiece is a completely redesigned lobby: pod-style front desk, bronze flamingo statues, a brand-new lobby bar with tabletop gaming and TV screens, an upgraded VIP check-in area, plus a refresh of Bugsy's Bar on the casino floor. Design is by Allard & Conversano, keeping the tropical flamingo theme.
"We're introducing fresh designs that complement the recent additions to the property, creating spaces that feel modern yet unmistakably Flamingo," said Dan Walsh, senior VP and general manager of the property.
Opened December 26, 1946, the Flamingo is the oldest continuously operating brand on the Strip and has been owned by Caesars since 2005. Suffolk's casino resume includes the $2.6 billion Encore Boston Harbor and Florida's $1.5 billion Guitar Hotel — this marks its entry into major Las Vegas Strip resort construction.
