Sunday, October 11, 2026 · City · GSM News

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans is a city in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. The New Orleans Saints fell 23-13 to the Minnesota Vikings at the Caesars Superdome on October 11, suffering their third straight home loss, louisianasports.net reported. The Saints dropped to 1-4 while the Vikings stayed unbeaten at 5-0.

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough completed 16 of 25 passes for just 96 yards with two interceptions, averaging only 3.9 yards per attempt — his least productive showing of the season. The Saints offense managed only one sustained 15-play drive all afternoon.

The lone bright spot came from the defense: in the third quarter, defensive back Jonas Sanker recovered a fumble and returned it 87 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 13-13, but the extra point was missed and the Vikings pulled away late.

According to USA Today's Saints Wire, New Orleans was already shorthanded with two defensive tackles out ill, and its 30th-ranked run defense was repeatedly exposed. Home fans streamed out early, leaving loud pockets of Vikings supporters cheering in purple.
