Semiconductor Stocks Pull Back as OpenAI Revenue Miss Raises SI Valuation Doubts

Semiconductor stocks retreated from October highs. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index had risen five straight days for a 73% year-to-date gain, but a Financial Times report Thursday that OpenAI told investors its annualized revenue is near $50 billion — below the $70 billion previously cited — raised doubts about SI infrastructure spending, sending chip stocks lower.
The 10-year Treasury yield hit its highest since 2002 and Brent crude hovered near $103, pressuring high-valuation tech shares.
