Atlanta is a city in Fulton County, Georgia. The Atlanta Falcons fell 30-23 in overtime to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on October 11, dropping to 2-3. According to the Associated Press, Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was sacked, fumbled and left with a rib injury late in the fourth quarter — the game's turning point.

With 40 seconds left in regulation, Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley threw a 7-yard touchdown pass, and Derrick Henry took the direct snap for the tying two-point conversion to make it 23-all. Huntley, filling in for the injured Lamar Jackson (ankle), completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns. In overtime, Henry scored on a 1-yard run before Tua Tagovailoa's pass was intercepted by Kyle Hamilton to end it.

Penix threw for 240 yards and a touchdown but could only watch from the bench, a towel over his head, as the Ravens closed it out. He predicted afterward that he would return next week. "We didn't do enough to win the game," Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski said.

Henry ran for 102 yards against Atlanta's top-ranked run defense. The Ravens improved to 4-1 and took sole possession of first place in the AFC North. For Atlanta, Jessie Bates III returned a fumble 36 yards for a first-quarter touchdown and Bijan Robinson ran for 86 yards. Left tackle Jake Matthews made his 200th consecutive start — the longest active streak in the NFL — and nearly caught a touchdown pass.

The Falcons host the Chicago Bears next Sunday, with Penix's rib injury the biggest storyline to watch.
