Port of Long Beach Offers Free TradeForward Workshop on FTZ 50 and Bonded Warehouses, Nov. 5

Long Beach is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The Port of Long Beach's Business Development Division is wrapping up its free TradeForward workshop series for 2026 with a final session on November 5, "Foreign Trade Zone 50 and Bonded Warehouses." Registration is required by October 29.
The series offers a different trade-related topic each month for prospective and current importers and exporters — earlier sessions covered Importing 101 (Aug. 20), Exporting 101 (Sept. 10), and Port Operations (Oct. 8). The November 5 workshop will be held at the Port of Long Beach Administration Building, 415 W. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and ending with a networking lunch at noon; complimentary boxed lunches and self-parking are provided.
The Port is the grantee of Foreign Trade Zone 50, which covers Orange County, western San Bernardino County, and most of Los Angeles County. Qualifying businesses in FTZ 50 can defer, reduce, or potentially eliminate customs duties — a practical cost-saving tool for Southern California's small and mid-sized importers and exporters, including Chinese-owned trading firms.
