Miller's Hat Trick Lifts Aztec Women Past Colorado State 3-1
San Diego is a city in San Diego County, California. SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego State women's soccer team (8-3-2) defeated Colorado State 3-1 at home on Sunday on a hat trick by Victoria Miller -- the 13th hat trick in school history and the first since the 2020-21 season.
In the 62nd minute, Alexis Leath dribbled into the box and passed to KK Chowana-Bandhu, who redirected the ball to Miller. She fired into the left side of the goal to tie the game. Two minutes later, a CSU handball in the box set up a penalty kick, which Miller converted to put the Aztecs ahead. She then completed her hat trick to seal the 3-1 win.
Miller's outburst comes at a key stage of the season, and her finishing ability has become the centerpiece of the Aztecs' attack. The team continues its homestand looking to climb the conference standings. Source: BVM Sports (San Diego State Aztecs official report).
