China Launches 27th Batch of Low-Orbit Internet Satellites on Long March-12 From Hainan Commercial Spaceport

China successfully launched a Long March-12 carrier rocket from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site at 3:27 a.m. on October 10, sending the 27th batch of low-orbit internet satellites into their preset orbits, Xinhua reported. The mission marked the 671st flight of the Long March rocket family.
The Long March-12 is a new-generation medium-lift liquid-fuelled rocket, and the Hainan site is China's first commercial spaceport, which began operations in 2024. The low-orbit constellation forms part of China's planned space-ground integrated information network, with broadband communications among its core missions. Beijing plans to keep densifying the constellation in phases, and the commercial spaceport's high-cadence launch capability is seen as key to sustaining that deployment pace.
