Oceanside Shock Earn First Franchise Win, 5-4 OT Thriller Over Stockton Thunder

FPHL expansion club the Oceanside Shock won the first game in franchise history Sunday night, beating the Stockton Thunder 5-4 in overtime at Frontwave Arena. Vladimir Fadeev scored twice in the third period — once on the power play and once short-handed — to erase two Stockton leads and tie the game 4-4, then completed his hat trick 27 seconds into sudden-death overtime with the game-winner. A crowd of 3,340 watched the comeback. The Shock (1-2-0, 2 points) had opened their inaugural weekend with two losses.
