Titans Rout Blown Out at Home by Texans, Fall to 0-5 in Worst Start Since 2009

The Tennessee Titans fell 26-3 to the Houston Texans at home on Oct. 11, dropping to 0-5 to open the season — their worst start since 2009. The team managed just 187 total yards, a season low; quarterback Cam Ward went 23-of-36 for 170 yards with no touchdowns and an interception, and the offense reached the red zone only once.
Home fans booed in the third quarter and at the final whistle. All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons said he understood their anger: "We're 0-5, fans want to see wins, I get it." The Titans are 19-54 since 2021 and 2-18 at home over the past three seasons. Coach Robert Saleh remains winless in Nashville but reiterated he will not bench Ward, the 2025 No. 1 overall pick.
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud went 26-of-34 for 261 yards and a touchdown as Houston earned its first win of the season.
