Wildomar Planning Commission Unanimously Extends TownePlace Suites Hotel Approval to November 2028

Wildomar is a city in Riverside County, California. The Wildomar Planning Commission voted 5-0 at its Oct. 7 meeting to approve a two-year extension for Plot Plan 20-0028, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel development, extending the project's approval through Nov. 11, 2028.
According to the meeting record, city staff determined the project remains consistent with Wildomar's General Plan and recommended approval of the extension with no additional review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The developer attributed the project's delays to issues including rising construction material costs. The commission adopted staff's recommendation unanimously.
TownePlace Suites is Marriott International's extended-stay hotel brand. The project is located in Wildomar; a construction schedule has not yet been announced by the developer. The meeting was held at City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road.
