Bessent Holds Introductory Call with Korea's Deputy Prime Minister Lee Hyoung-il
Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent spoke virtually on October 13 with Republic of Korea Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Lee Hyoung-il, the Treasury Department said. Bessent congratulated Lee on his new role and underscored the importance of the U.S.–Republic of Korea economic and financial relationship. The two officials discussed shared economic priorities and opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
