Palmdale's Courson Park Rehabilitation Runs Through Sept. 2027; Main Grounds Closed, Pool Stays Open
Palmdale is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The City of Palmdale reminds residents that the Melville J. Courson Park Rehabilitation Project (Project No. PN 851) is under construction, scheduled to run from July 2026 through September 2027. The main park grounds are closed during construction, while the Courson Pool remains fully open and accessible during regular hours.
According to the City, improvements include a prefabricated restroom with all utilities, a band shelter, new accessible play equipment for ages 5 to 12, and a challenge course for ages 13 and up, among other upgrades.
