Tuesday, October 13, 2026 · City · GSM News

Rancho Palos Verdes is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The annual Prepared Peninsula Expo, hosted again by the four cities of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (27118 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates), in partnership with the PV Farmers Market. The event is free, with a free lunch while supplies last.

The expo focuses on emergency preparedness education: how to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, protecting yourself, your family and your pets, including home and family protection for earthquakes, wildfires and other hazards. Dozens of exhibitors will offer demonstrations and equipment displays, with agencies providing tips and tools and retailers selling extended-life water, emergency bags and meals-ready-to-eat (MREs). Questions: contact Rancho Palos Verdes Emergency Management Coordinator Luna Mohammad at [email protected]. Participants needing ADA assistance should contact the City's ADA Coordinator/Risk Manager at least 48 hours in advance at 424-327-3982 or [email protected].
