Six Projects Join Delaware's JobsFirst Permitting Accelerator: $165 Million Investment, 454 Homes

DOVER, Del. — Six new projects have been accepted into Delaware's JobsFirst Permitting Accelerator, Gov. Matt Meyer announced on Oct. 9, advancing the administration's push to expand affordable and workforce housing, increase the state's energy supply and move investment projects through permitting faster. The newly accepted projects represent approximately $165 million in proposed private investment.
The round includes two mixed-use developments that will deliver 454 residential units, and four community solar projects that will add nearly 10 megawatts of renewable energy capacity. "The JobsFirst Permitting Accelerator is about cutting unnecessary red tape, moving projects forward faster and making it easier to invest in Delaware," Meyer said. "These projects will help lower costs, create opportunities and strengthen the communities Delawareans call home."
Leslie Smallwood-Lewis, COO of Mosaic Development Partners JV, called the accelerator a game changer for economic development, saying streamlined permitting helps the Downtown Dover Partnership project stay on track to break ground in the second quarter of 2027 and meet key funding deadlines, while accelerating investment, job creation and community revitalization.
