On Gaza Peace Summit Anniversary, Rubio Says U.S. Remains Determined on Lasting Peace

Secretary of State Marco Rubio marked the one-year anniversary of the Gaza Peace Summit in a statement released October 13. "One year ago today, leaders from across the world joined President Trump in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, to sign the historic Gaza Peace Agreement, ending the war and beginning a new chapter of peace and prosperity for the region," Rubio said. "The United States remains committed to ensuring the agreement is fully implemented. Rebuilding Gaza will be an arduous, multi-year process, and implementation will be difficult. But we remain determined to work with our partners toward lasting peace."
