IMEX America 2026 Opens This Week at Mandalay Bay as Global Meetings Industry Gathers in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. IMEX America 2026, the global meetings and incentive-travel industry's flagship trade show, takes over the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas this week. The event opened on Monday, Oct. 12, with 'Smart Monday,' an education day powered by Meeting Professionals International (MPI); the main exhibition runs Oct. 13-15 and is expected to draw thousands of buyers and exhibitors from around the world.
IMEX America is one of North America's largest meetings-industry trade shows. Last year's edition hosted 17,633 participants and 6,145 buyers, with roughly 92,000 pre-scheduled business appointments and more than 3,700 exhibitors from over 80 countries. Organizers expect more than 6,000 buyers this year, meeting hotels, destination-management companies and convention venues to book meetings and events years into the future.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority regards major trade shows as the backbone of the city's convention economy, and IMEX week spending on hotels, dining and entertainment delivers a significant local boost. The show will also see the release of several industry trend reports, covering event sustainability, cities' capacity for mega-events and the state of business travel.
Attendance is trade-only and by registration; organizers advise attendees to complete registration and appointment scheduling in advance through official channels.
