This Week at Lincoln Center: Free Plaza Artwork, Festival of Firsts and a Dance-Film Day

Tuesday, October 13, 2026 · Performance · GSM News

Lincoln Center has announced its schedule for the week of October 13, with much of it free to the public. On Josie Robertson Plaza, Andrew Schneider's interactive artwork "PLAZA" runs October 14–25 at various times — free with registration — inviting passersby to reimagine public space. The Festival of Firsts series offers several free events at the David Rubenstein Atrium: a "Sophia Club: Live Philosophy" conversation on gender from Rome to Byzantium (October 14, 7:30 pm), Brooklyn guitarist Mei Semones (October 15), flamenco duo Emilia y Pablo in their U.S. debut (October 16), and countertenor Morten Grove Frandsen's solo opera "LOL: Laughing Out Lonely" (October 17). Two choose-what-you-pay concerts at Alice Tully Hall — a tribute to Bernice Johnson Reagon (October 14) and the dance work "Urban Love Suite" (October 16) — are sold out, with day-of standby lines at the box office. A free dancefilm festival, "Moving Body – Moving Image," screens at the Atrium on October 18 at noon. Free Fast Track priority-entry reservations open Mondays at noon for that week's Atrium events.
