[Video] Drake's 'HABIBTI' Deluxe Reissue Rockets the Album From No. 116 to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 as 'Solar Eclipse' Debuts at No. 5

Drake's album "HABIBTI" has climbed from No. 116 to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 dated October 17, matching the album's highest position on the chart, following the October 2 release of its expanded reissue "HABIBTI (FOMO)," according to Billboard chart data compiled by Luminate and reported October 12.
The deluxe edition generated 71,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending October 8, a 506% increase from the previous week. Streaming accounted for nearly all of the performance, contributing almost 70,000 streaming equivalent album units, a jump of 497%.
Originally released in May as Drake's eleventh studio album with 11 tracks, "HABIBTI" expands to 15 tracks on the deluxe edition, adding "Solar Eclipse," "Quebec," "Cold Shoulder" and "Classic PT2." The new songs were first introduced in "FOMO," a self-funded, Toronto-centered short film that premiered during a September 15 YouTube livestream and gave fans an early listen to unreleased material. The reissue caps a prolific year for Drake, who also released "ICEMAN" and "MAID OF HONOUR" over the summer.
On the songs side, the Drake and Don Toliver collaboration "Solar Eclipse" debuts at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Per Billboard, it is Drake's record-extending 91st top 10 hit and his 48th top five hit, while for Toliver it is his second top 10, his first in a lead role and his first top five single. The song, which has reached No. 1 on U.S. Apple Music, interpolates Ella Langley's country hit "Choosin' Texas," which holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100 after a record 24 weeks at No. 1.
Elsewhere on this week's charts, Taylor Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl" spends a 14th week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and her "Patient Zero" — one of four new tracks on the September 25 deluxe edition of that album — tops the Hot 100 for a second week, becoming her 16th career leader. Slovak singer-songwriter ADELA earns her first Hot 100 top 10 as "Nicole Kidman" climbs to No. 9. All charts dated October 17 will update on Billboard.com on October 13.
