U.S. Marshals Arrest Dangerous Nashua Fugitive in New York; Extradition Hearing Set for Tuesday

CONCORD, N.H. — The U.S. Marshals Service's New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, working with Nashua police and the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, tracked a dangerous Nashua fugitive to upstate New York and arrested him Friday morning at a McDonald's restaurant in Rome, with no injuries. The fugitive, Jacob Reznikow, 39, had failed to appear after a June arrest on a DUI charge and faced additional firearms and drug charges; he was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a 2021 drug conviction.
“Fugitives cannot evade accountability simply by crossing state lines,” said Katherine Burns, acting U.S. Marshal for the District of New Hampshire. “This case underscores the commitment of the U.S. Marshals Service and our partners to protecting the public and bringing fugitives to justice wherever they may try to run.” Reznikow was arraigned in New York on Saturday on a fugitive-from-justice charge and is being held without bail at the Oneida County Jail pending an extradition hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, founded in the fall of 2002 and headquartered in Concord, coordinates federal, state, county and local resources to track and apprehend targeted fugitives, with support from Strafford, Merrimack and Rockingham counties and the cities of Manchester, Nashua and Concord.
