Southern Connecticut State University Waives Application Fee for Connecticut High School Seniors From October 15 to November 15
Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) in New Haven will waive its standard $50 application fee for Connecticut high school seniors who submit a first-year application between October 15 and November 15, for admission in the 2027-28 academic year, according to NBC Connecticut and The Bulletin. The university's own admissions page lists the same fee-free period.
Nicholas Gleifert, associate director of marketing and events in the Office of First Year Admissions, said the monthlong waiver is intended to reduce the financial burden on prospective students and help more of them explore the university's programs, scholarships and student resources. Applicants apply through the university's website.
The university will also hold an undergraduate open house on November 7 at its New Haven campus. Founded in 1893, Southern Connecticut State University is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system.
