South Korea's Lee Names Tax Chief Lim Kwang-hyun as New Presidential Chief of Staff
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung has appointed National Tax Service Commissioner Lim Kwang-hyun as his new chief of staff, the presidential office said on Wednesday, October 14. Lim replaces Kang Hoon-sik, who resigned after serving as Lee's chief of staff since the start of the administration.
The presidential chief of staff is the top aide in South Korea's presidential office, coordinating the president's schedule, policy agenda and the office's operations. The appointment of the serving tax chief to the post is the latest senior personnel change of the Lee administration.
