Huntington Beach: Great White Shark Sighting Closes Waters Until 3 p.m. Today
Huntington Beach is a city in Orange County, California. The Huntington Beach Fire Department reported that a great white shark about 10 to 12 feet long, exhibiting aggressive behavior, was spotted near Lifeguard Tower 16 shortly before 5 p.m. on October 13. The department ordered the ocean closed from Seapoint Street to the Huntington Beach Pier until 3 p.m. on October 14. Officials reminded the public to obey posted signs and lifeguard instructions; no injuries were reported.
