Taste of Hayward Returns October 22 With 25-Plus Restaurants
HAYWARD, California — Hayward is a city in Alameda County, California. The second annual Taste of Hayward will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Hayward, with more than 25 restaurants and bars taking part, according to an event release carried by Travel PR News on October 14.
The event is organized by the Downtown Hayward Improvement Association in partnership with the Hayward Chamber of Commerce. Instead of gathering diners in one venue, participants carry a Taste Passport and walk between downtown businesses, sampling food and drinks at each stop, with live music along the route.
Tickets cost $35 plus a service fee and include access to all tasting locations. Organizers said the event is intended both as a community food gathering and as a way to direct foot traffic and spending toward local businesses.
Hayward is located in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.
