Orbital Announce 11th Studio Album 'Other' and a Spring 2027 UK-European Tour
British electronic duo Orbital have announced their eleventh studio album, Other, due March 19, 2027 via London Records, along with a UK and European tour titled The Other Tour, according to music outlet XS Noize. The album's first single, "Mother, Maiden & Crone," has been released and features spoken vocals by actor Maxine Peake, drawing on themes of witchcraft and folklore over gothic synths. It is Orbital's first new material since their 2023 album Optical Delusion.
Orbital are brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll. Other explores ideas of otherness, including neurodiversity, identity and life outside prescribed categories, and its sound moves through gothic folk, drum & bass, punk and ambient music alongside the duo's established electronic style. The announcement follows a busy run of releases, including a 2024 reissue of The Green Album and 2026's Glastonbury 1994, the first official release of their landmark festival performance.
The 18-date tour opens April 8, 2027 at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre and continues through Limerick, Belfast (April 10, Limelight 1), Liverpool, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester and Birmingham, reaching London on April 24 before heading to Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels and Berlin and closing in Copenhagen on May 4. Presale tickets go on sale October 21 at 10 a.m., with general sale October 23 at 10 a.m.; presale buyers can also access a special 2LP + 1CD tour edition of the album.
