DayOne Upsizes Malaysia Financing to US$7.2 Billion for Johor Data Centre Platform

KUALA LUMPUR — DayOne Data Centers, a Singapore-headquartered digital infrastructure platform, announced on October 14 that it has upsized its senior secured multi-currency syndicated term financing in Malaysia to approximately US$7.2 billion in total, PR Newswire reported. The financing, arranged by a seven-lender consortium, supports continued development of its data centre platform in Johor and builds on the approximately US$3.5 billion syndicated financing secured in May 2025.
DayOne said its billings have surpassed 1 gigawatt of IT power capacity now generating income under long-term customer contracts, while bookings reached approximately 2.3GW and reservations stood at a further 1.1GW. Billings have grown more than eightfold in under two years, from 121MW at the end of 2024, and bookings rose from 1.25GW at the end of 2025. Since 2024 the company has raised over US$6 billion in equity across several rounds, alongside project financing from more than 30 local and global banking partners.
Chief Executive Jamie Khoo said in the statement that the confidence of banking partners and customers is reflected in the milestones, and that the company remains focused on bringing capacity online at speed and scale in the markets its customers need. Johor has become one of Southeast Asia's main hubs for data centre investment in recent years.
