Thursday, October 15, 2026 · World News · GSM News

PANAMA CITY — The Panamanian passport now offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 117 destinations, including the United States, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia, as well as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Travel and Tour World reported on October 14, presenting the expansion as a boost to Panama's tourism and global mobility.

The 117 destinations listed span Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Sweden in Europe, and Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong, among others. The report linked the expanded travel freedom to Panama's international connectivity.

Panama, in Central America, hosts the Panama Canal linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and serves as a regional air and shipping hub. Entry conditions under visa-free arrangements vary by destination, and travellers must still confirm stay limits and document requirements with each destination's official authorities before travelling.
