Utili-Serve to Add 105 Jobs in North Carolina's Catawba County With $24.8 Million Expansion

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced on October 14 that Utili-Serve, LLC, a utility infrastructure company, will add 105 new jobs in Catawba County, investing more than $24.8 million to expand its headquarters in Conover and construct a new 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, according to the governor's office.
Founded in Conover in 2008, Utili-Serve provides services to the electrical power industry, including substation construction and maintenance, transformer and apparatus services, and protective relay panel manufacturing, installation and commissioning, operating 30 specialized construction crews across the southeastern United States.
The expansion is part of a broader growth plan: the Conover facility will add field control and protective relay panel manufacturing, establishing the headquarters as a regional hub for project management, manufacturing and logistics supporting utility-scale grid projects along the East Coast. Stein said companies are doubling down on investments in North Carolina because the state has the ingredients for businesses to succeed and grow.
