LISLE — Chicago is a city in Cook County, Illinois. The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, near Chicago, put public tickets for the 14th season of its outdoor holiday light show Illumination on sale at 9 a.m. CT on October 15; member tickets went on sale October 1. The show opens November 14 and runs through January 2, 2027.

According to the Arboretum's announcement via PR Newswire, this season's one-mile accessible walking trail features 22 displays designed exclusively for the Arboretum, including four new large-scale installations: Northern Lights, an aurora-inspired canopy spanning more than 400 feet that the Arboretum calls the show's most ambitious installation ever, offered this season only; the 165-foot Lightwave tunnel; the hillside Cosmic Garden of glowing orbs; and Fairy Forest. The new Pine Whistle Railroad model-train exhibit in the Firefly Pavilion has nearly 1,000 feet of track running through miniature scenes, with its daytime run continuing through February 13, 2027.

Adult tickets start at $17.60 for members and $22 for nonmembers, varying by date and time; the railroad is a $7 to $9 add-on, and children 3 and under enter free. The season opens with the 21-and-over IllumiBrew preview night on November 13, with dog admission nights on December 2, 9, 16 and January 1, and a sensory-friendly night on November 17. The 1,700-acre Arboretum says Illumination has drawn more than 2 million visitors since its 2013 debut.
