Fox News Poll: Trump Approval at 36%, Lowest of His Two Terms; Inflation Rating at 22%

President Donald Trump's overall approval rating stands at 36% in a Fox News poll released on October 14, the lowest level for him in Fox News polling across his two terms. His rating in the poll had stood at 39% since May, and the newly released 36% marks a further decline from that level.
By issue, Trump's approval rating on inflation is 22%, a new low, with 77% disapproving. Disapproval ratings on other issues were 70% on the economy, 69% on tariffs, 64% on foreign policy and 56% on immigration. On border security, approval and disapproval were evenly split at 50% each.
The cost of living is voters' top economic concern in the poll. Sixty percent of voters said the cost of living is their leading economic worry; 74% rated the economy negatively, 53% expect the economy to get worse next year, 66% are dissatisfied with the state of the country, and only 18% said their family's situation is better than it was two years ago.
Fox News reported that the decline in approval came mainly from voters under 45, voters with annual incomes below $50,000, non-white voters and voters without a college degree.
Another recent poll produced a similar result: a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on October 5 put Trump's approval rating at 32%. The Fox News poll was released on October 14, and its 36% overall approval figure and the 32% recorded by Reuters/Ipsos on October 5 are both recently released polling numbers.
