Singapore's Non-Oil Exports Surge 68.4% in September on Electronics and Ship Structures

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports jumped 68.4% in September from a year earlier, Enterprise Singapore said on October 16, a sixth straight month of growth above 20% and well above the 32.2% median forecast in a market poll. The figure accelerated from August's revised 46.1% expansion.
Electronics exports surged 107.6%, powered by artificial-intelligence-related demand for disk media products, integrated circuits and personal computers. Non-electronics shipments rose 54.2%, led by structures of ships and boats, with gold and specialised machinery also contributing.
Exports grew to nine of Singapore's top 10 markets, with shipments to Hong Kong rising 112.1%. Across the first nine months of 2026, non-oil domestic exports were up 27.6%. In August, Enterprise Singapore raised its full-year export growth forecast to a range of 14% to 16%, from 3% to 5% previously.
