Dubai Chambers has signed four memorandums of understanding with chambers of commerce in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chongqing to strengthen business cooperation and expand trade and investment ties between Dubai and China, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. The agreements, signed during the Dubai Business Forum – China organised by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen, were concluded with the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, the China Chamber of International Commerce Shenzhen branch, its Guangzhou chamber and its Chongqing chamber.

Dubai Chambers President and CEO Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah signed with Beijing chairperson Zhang Jianwei, Guangzhou vice president Huang Xiaofeng and Chongqing vice chairwoman Deng Lin, while the Shenzhen agreement was signed by Dubai Chambers executive vice president Salem AlShamsi and Shenzhen secretary-general He Shanshan. The MoUs set up channels for companies to connect, exchange information and expertise, and identify business opportunities; the Chongqing agreement also covers trade and investment promotion and mutual support at exhibitions and trade meetings. The forum, which closed in Shenzhen on October 14, drew 854 Chinese investors and business leaders and a 112-member Dubai delegation, the largest Dubai Chambers has ever led overseas. Non-oil trade between Dubai and China rose from AED 166.4 billion in 2016 to about AED 363.5 billion in 2025, and 6,650 Chinese companies were registered as active Dubai Chamber members by the end of September 2026.
