Los Angeles — During her one-night-only concert 'Let Me Sing to You' at the Hollywood Bowl on October 15, Cynthia Erivo announced that Kylie Minogue, Jonathan Groff and Catherine Tate have joined the voice cast of 'Bad Fairies,' the animated musical comedy from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. Minogue was in the audience, and Erivo stepped off stage to embrace her.

Erivo leads the film as Jayne Staplegun. Minogue voices Clowder the Cat Witch, Groff voices Robin Goodfellow, and Tate voices the Fairy Gothmother. Previously announced cast members include Serrana Su-Ling Bliss as Fei Chang, James Acaster as Stickers, Dee Bradley Baker as Groundbeef, and Ncuti Gatwa as Butterwort. Erivo also teased an orchestral arrangement of Jayne's song 'Hard to Believe' during the concert.

The film is directed by Megan Nicole Dong and co-directed by Olivier Staphylas, from a screenplay by Deborah Frances-White, and is set in contemporary London, where a subversive gang of fairies shakes up their magical world. Songs are by Tony-winning duo Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, with Isabella 'Machine' Summers composing the score and contributing to songs and Ian Eisendrath as executive music producer. Production is under way in London, with DNEG Animation as digital partner.

'Bad Fairies' is the first feature under the first-look deal between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation and is scheduled to open in theaters on May 21, 2027, via Warner Bros. Pictures.
