New Hampshire Governor: Medicare Advantage Options Coming to Coos and Carroll Counties in 2027
CONCORD, N.H. — Governor Kelly Ayotte announced on October 16 that, after work between her office and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare beneficiaries in Coos and Carroll counties will have Medicare Advantage plan options available in 2027.
The governor's office said eligible residents in the two northern counties who wish to consider the new plans may wait to enroll. Medicare's annual open enrollment period runs from October 15 to December 7, and residents can seek guidance from the state insurance department's consumer services division or ServiceLink. Ayotte said she had pressed CMS leadership on the North Country's particular access challenges. Coos and Carroll counties, in the state's White Mountains region, have historically had fewer plan choices than the rest of New Hampshire.
