Ronny Chieng Plays London's Royal Albert Hall with Hasan Minhaj in Debate-Style Comedy Tour

Friday, October 16, 2026 · Performance · GSM News

Chinese comedian Ronny Chieng played London's Royal Albert Hall on October 16, co-headlining the debate-style comedy tour "Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan" with Hasan Minhaj. The tour had played Paris's Le Trianon on October 11 and two nights at Oakland's Fox Theater on October 2–3.

The show is structured as a debate: the two comedians trade arguments and put-downs on culture, identity and current events — a two-hander format that has become popular on the North American comedy circuit. The Royal Albert Hall is among Britain's most prestigious venues, and headlining it is regarded as a career marker for stand-ups.

Chieng was born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and built his career in Singapore and Australia; he is now a senior correspondent and co-host on "The Daily Show" in the United States. He will also return in HBO's newly ordered "Crazy Rich Asians" series. (GSM, based on Chortle and ticketing listings)
