HPE to Invest $75 Million Expanding Chippewa Falls Site, Adding 75 Jobs

Chippewa Falls — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) announced on October 15 that Hewlett Packard Enterprise plans to invest $75 million over five years to expand its Chippewa Falls operations, creating an expected 75 new high-skill jobs at a site that already employs nearly 500 people.
WEDC authorized up to $5.1 million in additional performance-based enterprise zone tax credits, raising HPE's total potential credits to $13.1 million. Under its 2021 agreement, the company has already invested more than $25.9 million, created 120 jobs and retained 486.
The expansion will add testing, warehousing and manufacturing capacity tied to demand for super intelligence and high-performance computing. HPE established the site after acquiring Cray Inc. in 2019.
