Vancouver's Tung Lin Kok Yuen Holds Three-Day Chung Yeung Festival Assembly, October 16–18

VANCOUVER — Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society (TLKYCS) is holding a Chung Yeung Festival Assembly from October 16 to 18, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at its temple at 2495 Victoria Drive in Vancouver. This year's Double Ninth Festival (the ninth day of the ninth lunar month) falls on Sunday, October 18, the assembly's final day.
In its October newsletter, the society says the assembly expresses filial piety and gratitude by commemorating and honoring ancestors from generation to generation. Enquiries and registration: (604) 255-6337.
Founded in Vancouver in 1994 as a registered charity, TLKYCS holds regular Dharma assemblies and Buddhist lectures alongside community cultural and arts classes. The Double Ninth Festival is a traditional Chinese festival associated with climbing heights, remembering ancestors and honoring elders.
