Dubai Municipality Signs Collaboration Agreement With Emaar Malls on Public Spaces
Dubai Municipality has signed a collaboration agreement with Emaar Malls to explore commercial and lifestyle developments across Dubai's public spaces, it was announced on October 17. Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi, Executive Director at Emaar Properties, emphasised that the collaboration would draw on Emaar's experience in developing retail and leisure destinations to explore potential uses for public spaces.
Al Matrooshi highlighted that the proposed concepts would take into account the characteristics of individual locations and the needs of the communities they serve. The memorandum also establishes a framework for the two entities to exchange market insights and evaluate commercial concepts for municipal destinations.
Through the collaboration, Dubai Municipality aims to develop active and economically sustainable public spaces while creating further opportunities for private businesses and investors.
