Saturday, October 17, 2026 · States · GSM News

Idaho jobs are expected to grow at an annual rate of 1.3 percent over the next decade, more than four times faster than the national average, with growth projected through 2034, according to the Idaho Department of Labor. Commenting on the department's news, Governor Brad Little said Idaho continues to stand out as a place where people want to live, work and raise a family.

The department noted that Idaho has been one of the fastest-growing states in the nation over the past decade, with job expansion and population inflows reinforcing each other. Separately, the department announced a hiring event on October 21 at its Post Falls office to connect job seekers in Kootenai County with employers.

On October 16, Little also joined Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, Utah Governor Spencer Cox, three U.S. senators and TerraPower founder Bill Gates on a tour of the Natrium nuclear plant site under construction in Kemmerer, Wyoming, according to Wyoming media reports that day.
