Pritzker Releases 2025 Tax Returns Showing Over $9.4 Million in Income

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and First Lady MK Pritzker reported more than $9.4 million in adjusted gross income in 2025, according to tax summaries released by his campaign on Thursday and reported by Capitol News Illinois on October 16. The couple paid $2.1 million in federal taxes and received a refund that they applied to their 2026 taxes.
The summaries, prepared by Deloitte Tax LLP, show Pritzker's income came mostly from capital gains of about $4 million, interest of $1.8 million and dividends of $3.6 million, as he does not take a salary from the state. The returns do not fully include income from the blind trust in which he placed his assets when elected; his campaign said the trust paid $8.8 million in state taxes and $50.4 million in federal taxes last year.
Pritzker has released his tax returns each year since becoming a candidate in 2017. The couple reported $1.9 million in charitable contributions last year, and unlike 2024, recorded no gambling winnings in 2025.
