Dallas is a city in Dallas County, Texas. On the night of Oct. 17, the Dallas Stars beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 at the United Center, with goaltender Jake Oettinger stopping all 19 shots for his third shutout of the season. Forward Arttu Hyry scored twice, his first two-goal game in the NHL.

The deadlock broke in the second period: at 4:58, Jason Robertson took a return pass from Mikko Rantanen and scored a power-play goal from the bottom of the left circle to open the scoring. Nine minutes later, Hyry took a pass from Sam Steele and rifled in a shot from the right circle on a two-on-one to make it 2-0. Just 1:27 into the third, Hyry took a long pass from Nils Lundkvist and lifted a backhand over the goaltender's glove to complete his brace. Roope Hintz added the final goal at 9:40 of the third.

With the win, Dallas improved to 4-3-1 with two straight victories and a 4-1-1 mark over its last six; Chicago fell to 3-6 despite 28 saves from Spencer Knight. Dallas's head coach praised the team's defensive execution, while Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill admitted his team failed to generate enough dangerous chances after the first period.

Arttu Hyry scored twice for the first multigoal game of his NHL career, finishing a 2-on-1 feed from Sam Steel at 14:10 of the second period, then lifting a backhander at 1:27 of the third. Jason Robertson opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 4:58 of the second and added an assist, and Roope Hintz added a third-period goal.
