Sunday, October 18, 2026 · City · GSM News

Houston is a city in Harris County, Texas. The annual Houston Filipino Street Festival was held on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, celebrating Filipino culture with the greater Houston Filipino community. The event was co-hosted by the Sugar Land Space Cowboys and the Filipino Young Professionals of Houston; children seven and under were admitted free.

The festival featured authentic Filipino food stalls, traditional dance performances and cultural exhibits, with singer AJ Rafael headlining the closing show. From lumpia spring rolls and adobo to halo-halo shaved ice, the street food drew crowds, while folk dances and music on stage showcased the traditions of the Philippine islands.

Houston is one of the U.S. metropolitan areas with a large Filipino population, and the street festival has become a fixture on the local Asian American community's annual cultural calendar. Organizers said the event gives Filipino families a place to gather and welcomes residents of all backgrounds to experience Filipino hospitality. It was a busy fall day across greater Houston, with downtown also hosting a Nigerian cultural parade and other multicultural celebrations.
